The Wild Thornberry

I pulled this outfit together for Bloggers Do it Better, a blog challenge over the Pretty, Shiny Sparkly blog. And yes, it was quite the challenge. Neckties are not exactly in heavy rotation around here. In fact, the only one I found had been thrifted by someone, given to my mother-in-law and passed along to my sons. It took me a few minutes to control my laughter when I uploaded these images from my camera, so I wasn’t thrilled about actually wearing it out in public. But alas, later that evening I popped off my clip-on tie and prepared to go out to work with the Mr. When my brother arrived to babysit the kids that night, he quickly scanned my outfit, smiled, and said “You look like a Wild Thornberry….(long pause)…in a cool way”. Still not sure how to take it, but he tried his hardest to convince me that what he said translated to Your Outfit is Awesome.
