I was completely unaware until this post popped up on my Bloglovin’ feed. And let me tell you, the idea is looking better than ever. As a mom of two quick and slippery little boys, my need for two free hands is right up there with air and water. I’ve been a die hard fan of the backpack since the 1st grade so when the Mr. surprised me with a super fly backpack (ok, as fly as a backpack can be) to fulfill that need, I was ecstatic. I still love and use my backpack (although the gift bearer himself begs me to leave it at home most days) but I must admit, it is as cumbersome as it is fly. Have you ever tried to chase a kid in a parking lot with 4 pounds of backpack bouncing behind you? It’s damn near impossible. Or wear it to an outdoor music festival in 98 degree heat and 100% humidity? It’s sticky. But this! This could be the start of something beautiful. I can just imagine being able to run and jump and juke even the nimblest of 4-year-olds. This is going to be fantastic.
It does seem rather handy, but I don’t know if I can do it! Images of neon green and pink nylon fanny packs are seared into my mind. 🙂 But, I bet you can pull it off!
Hey Larami! Thanks for linking. Yes, I’m lusting more and more after the fashionable fanny pack ’cause I’m off to a trip next week and I like to photograph eeeeverything when I travel so I need both hands. It’s a rather perfect accessory.
just came across your blog– i love your style! it’s been fun looking at your pics for outfit ideas. and who would have guess the fanny pack would be back!?
