This Saturday I attended the Contemporary Arts Museum of Houston Teen Council fashion show. It took me considerably more time to type the previous sentence than it did for me to spot the young lady pictured below. Her name is Colleen and she wore what may be the most amazing vintage jumpsuit I’ve ever seen. And this was no quick etsy purchase. Oh no, this was the real deal. Straight out of the closet of her very own mother. When she told me, I gasped. I was smitten with the idea of a daughter breathing new life into clothing her mother donned decades before her. With a cardigan, black pumps and boho accessories, she made the piece current and she made it her own. Colleen, you did your mom proud.
